Jefferson City police arrest suspected driver in Callaway County chase

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
The alleged driver who led law enforcement on a car chase last week in Callaway County was arrested Wednesday in Jefferson City, the county sheriff's office said.
Dillion Johnson, 33, of Jefferson City, was arrested a little after 5 p.m. Wednesday after a foot chase in Jefferson City, according to a Callaway County Sheriff's Office news release. The release did not give details of the arrest.
The sheriff's office says the chase started in Fulton on Saturday before going onto Route O.
The Chevrolet Suburban went about 2,500 feet down an ATV trail before the driver, Johnson, and a passenger bailed and ran, the sheriff's office says.
The sheriff's office said deputies reviewed license plate camera data and surveillance footage to track the vehicle's route. Video from the Millersburg Short Stop in Fulton confirmed the stolen white Chevrolet Suburban stopped at the gas station, according to a Sunday press release.
Tips flooded in after that, the sheriff's office said earlier this week.
The vehicle was stolen and contained a stolen gun, the sheriff's office says.
Charges against Johnson were not publicly available in online court records.
The passenger, Orion Kenneth Mullins, 31, was arrested in a home in Fulton on Sunday. Mullins is charged with misdemeanor second-degree tampering with a motor vehicle, according to court documents. He posted bond Wednesday, according to online jail records.
