Kavin Vance faces multiple charges in Callaway County after he was accused of child abuse.

FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man and woman face multiple charges in Callaway County after they were both arrested recently.

The Fulton Police Department said 60-year-old Kavin Vance and 62-year-old Mamie Reed-Vance were arrested on suspicion of child abuse and child neglect.

The police department said a missing juvenile was found on Saturday. Officers alleged the juvenile had been abused.

Police arrested Reed-Vance on Saturday connected to the abuse allegations. Vance was arrested on Tuesday, police said he had two guns in his possession.

Online court records show both face felony charges for endangering the welfare of a child. Vance was also charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, Reed-Vance faces an additional charge of third-degree domestic assault.

It's illegal for Vance to have a gun because he is a convicted felon.

As of Tuesday, Vance had been held in the Callaway County Jail without bail. A bond hearing is scheduled for his case on Friday, according to court records.

Online court records also show Reed-Vance posted a $10,000 bail on Monday. The same documents don't list attornies for either person.
