FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

Fulton police arrested two men early Sunday after finding a vehicle on fire in southwest Fulton.

Robert Burkle

Officers were sent at about 3 a.m. Sunday to the 500 block of Collier Lane for a vehicle fire, the Fulton Police Department said in a news release. Officers found a vehicle that was on fire but it was quickly extinguished, the department said.

Dillon Howard

Police arrested two men -- Robert Burkle, 20, of Altoona, Iowa, and Dillon Howard, 20, of Wright City, Missouri -- on suspicion of first-degree property damage and knowingly burning or exploding, both felonies.

Burkle and Howard were each released after posting a $3,000 surety bond. Information about their cases was not available in online court records Monday. County courts were closed because of Presidents Day.

Police did not say why the men are suspected in the incident.
