Traffic stop near Kingdom City ends in massive marijuana seizure

NEAR KINGDOM CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Florida man faces a pair of drug charges in Callaway County after a drug bust along Interstate 70.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Raymond M. Moledo, Jr., 59, of Mims, Florida, was arrested around 2:05 p.m. Monday for delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

At last check, the Callaway County prosecutor's office had not charged Moledo.

The patrol says troopers found about 36 pounds of marijuana and nearly 5 pounds of THC concentrate during the traffic stop. THC is the chemical that gives marijuana users a high.

Details of what led up to the traffic stop weren't released.

Patrol Sgt. Scott White said the marijuana and marijuana products from California and Colorado were on their way to Florida.
