Hundreds of appointments available for MU Health Care’s three-day vaccination event

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

More than 800 vaccination appointments are still available Saturday for MU Health Care's three-day vaccination event at Faurot Field.

MU Health Care has partnered with the State of Missouri and Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services for the vaccination event.

Those looking to get vaccinated are required to register on MU Health Care's website. However, registration can be completed the same day as the appointment.

Vaccinations are open and available to anyone over 16 years old for the Pfizer vaccine, with 16 and 17-year-old residents needing parental consent.

Second-dose appointments are scheduled for 21 days following the first dose.

Those who need help scheduling an appointment can call MU Health Care's COVID-19 vaccine call center at 573-771-CARE (2273).

The call center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
