COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Crews on Wednesday will close West Ash Street near the Activity and Recreation Center for emergency waterline repairs, according to a Tuesday press release from the City of Columbia.

The release says West Ash Street will be closed between Bernadette Drive and Clinkscales Road beginning at 4 a.m. Work is expected to be completed by the afternoon on the same day.

The repair location is just west of the entrance to the ARC. The sidewalk will stay open, the release says.

Local traffic will still be able to access Gerbes and Shelter Gardens, the release says. Residents can still get to the ARC through the Clinkscales Road entrance. The release says through traffic should use alternative routes such as West Worley Street or West Broadway.
