Russellville woman suffers serious injury in crash

RUSSELLVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

A woman suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash Friday in Russellville on Route A, east of Shikles Road.

The crash occurred as Catherine Scribner, 68, of Russellville, reached down to grab her cellphone from the passenger seat of her 2020 Toyota Rav 4, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The Toyota was heading eastbound, went off the left side of the road and went down an embankment.

Once the vehicle hit the ground, it hit a tree, overturned and its wheels rested on a fence, the crash report states.

Scribner was wearing a seatbelt and the Toyota was overturned, according to the report.
