MU Health to break ground for new medical clinic in Boonville
BOONVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)
MU Health Care and city of Boonville leaders will break ground on a new multi-specialty clinic across from Walmart Friday morning.
The new clinic will feature an urgent care with extended hours, primary care providers, specialty services, imaging, a lab and physical therapy services.
In Feb. 2020, MU Health Care said there would be a clinic in Boonville, but they were working to secure clinic space. Officials at the time said they had hired former doctors from the now-shuttered Boonville hospital.
MU Health Care said the former Pinnacle employees added to their team are part of a larger collaboration between MU Health Care and community leaders in Boonville and Cooper county.
Pinnacle Healthcare Systems, Inc. filed for Chapter 11 protection in Jan. 2020. The hospital closed on Jan. 15 after regulators flagged problems in the facility.
