Recycling pickup in Columbia canceled three days this week

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The City of Columbia will not pickup recycling for three days this week due to frigid temperatures expected in the forecast.

The ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Team is tracking snow and dangerous cold with wind chills between -10 and -15 between Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

According to a Sunday social media post from the City of Columbia Water and Light, recycling collections for Tuesday (2/18,) Wednesday (2/19,) and Thursday (2/20,) have been canceled due to the cold.

Recycling drop off locations will remain open, according to the post.

The city also asked residents who have their trash normally picked up on Tuesday to have it ready on Monday this week.
