The department said they found a generator and gas can burning near a garage and covered patio.

In a press release the department said, a resident told crews he had been running a generator throughout the day due to an extended power outage in the area. The man stated he added more gasoline to the generator and it caught on fire.

The fire was extinguished, the department said, and there was no damage to other property.

According to the department, the man suffered minor burns to his legs and did not want to be taken to the hospital for treatment.
