MU hosts annual homecoming blood drive

The American Red Cross is partnering with the University of Missouri as part of its annual homecoming blood drive.

The homecoming team said it's expecting 4,000 blood donations. Last year, the drive finished with 2,504 blood donations.

The drive is open from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Hearnes Center fieldhouse.

There are also three chances for community members to donate blood at satellite drives.

The first will be held in Jefferson City at the Capital Mall community room on Oct. 19.

There will be one held at the Columbia Mall on Oct. 21 and another will be at the Callaway Electric Cooperative on Oct. 28.
