COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Firefighters responded to a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on Interstate 70 in east Columbia.

According to the Columbia Fire Department, the crash happened in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 130 around 7:20 a.m.

The car hit a cable barrier in the median of the interstate after the driver drove off of the road, according to the fire department.

A camera on MoDOT's Traveler Map website showed traffic backed up in the east and westbound lanes while crews cleared the scene.

Firefighters said no one was taken to the hospital.
