One person flown to hospital after Callaway County crash

CALLAWAY Co. (KMIZ)

One person was flown to the hospital after a Callaway County crash on Saturday morning.

A truck was driving westbound along County Road 292 around 1:30 a.m. when it hit a deer and went off the left side of the road. The truck then hit the ground, overturned and the driver was thrown out of the truck.

The driver, 55-year-old William Cockrell was seriously injured in the crash and flown to University Hospital. His passenger, 58-year-old Jeannette Perkins-Martin was moderately hurt and taken to University Hospital by ambulance.

Both individuals were not wearing seatbelts according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
