Six local basketball standouts nominated for McDonald’s All American team

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Six Mid-Missouri high school basketball standouts were nominated to be a part of the 44th annual McDonald’s All American Games team.

  • Lindsey Byers, Helias Catholic High School, Jefferson City, Missouri
  • Sarah Linthacum, Jefferson City High School, Jefferson City, Missouri
  • Hannah Nilges, Jefferson City High School, Jefferson City, Missouri
  • Kourtney Kendrick, Boonville High School, Boonville, Missouri
  • Paige Clubb, South Callaway High School, Mokane, Missouri
  • Halle Smith, Belle High School, Belle, Missouri

The final roster of 48 players will be announced later this month. Like last year - there will not be an in-person game due to COVID-19 concerns.

Sarah Linthacum is one of three Mizzou signees to get nominated. She's joined by fellow future Tigers Izzy Higginbottom and Kiya Dorroh.

On the boys side - Mizzou signee Anton Brookshire was named a nominee as well. The Kickapoo star will play for the Tigers starting next season.
