Kansas City woman killed in Cole County crash

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Crews closed eastbound Highway 50 near the Route M interchange in Cole County Sunday after a deadly crash.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports, Kelly Sullivan, 56, of Kansas City, was driving eastbound shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday. Sullivan drove off the left side of the road and then overcorrected.

The car then went off the right side of the road, hitting a rock bluff before rolling over and throwing Sullivan from the car.

Sullivan died at the scene.

Emergency crews diverted traffic in the area until reopening eastbound Highway 50 around 9:30 p.m.
