SUNDAY UPDATES: Boone County reports 123 new COVID-19 cases

UPDATE 7:45 P.M.: The Pettis County Health Center will be closed for routine public health service until further notice.

The center posted to its Facebook page on Sunday, but did not say the reason for closing.

The center asked people with appointments to call at 660-827-1130 and leave a message for staff to get back to patients.

UPDATE 4 P.M.: The Columbia/Boone County Health Department reported a slight drop in the number of new cases reported on Sunday. The department reported 123 new cases.

There have been 7,371 cases in Boone County. There were 1,010 active cases on Sunday.

The five day average of cases was 168.

On Sunday 25 Boone County residents were hospitalized with the virus. There were 123 people hospitalized in Boone County hospital, with 36 being in ICUs.

ORIGINAL: The Department of Health and Senior Services reported 4,131 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. There have been 209,197 cases in the state.

Missouri continues to rank #10 in the nation for new cases with 21,107 new cases reported in the past seven days.

At least 2,654,691 people have been tested for the virus. Out of those tested, 18.5% have tested positive for the virus.

The state ranks #11 in the nation for new deaths with 73 reported in the past seven days. There have been 3,153 coronavirus related deaths.

On Sunday, 1,965 people were hospitalized with the virus.
