SATURDAY UPDATES: Boone County reports 60 new COVID-19 cases

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE 5:00 P.M.: The Columbia/Boone County Health Department reports 4,589 cases of COVID-19. Out of those, 345 cases are active.

The health department reported 60 new cases on Saturday.

The five-day average on Saturday was at 57.

Thirteen Boone County residents were hospitalized with the virus.

UPDATE 2:20 P.M.: The Department of Health and Senior Services reported 1,716 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday.

There have been 122,014 cases confirmed in the state.

The state reported 69 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the death toll up to 2,063.

In Missouri, at least 1,289,169 people have been tested for the virus. Out of that number, 9.1% of people tested positive.

On Saturday, 1,101 people were hospitalized with the virus.

ORIGINAL: The Moniteau County Health Center reported a fifth death related to COVID-19 on Saturday.

The county has had 350 cases total.

The county had 56 active cases on the virus on Saturday.
