One man arrested after fleeing from Fulton police

FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

One man was arrested in Fulton on Sunday morning after a complaint someone was using drugs at the Post Office Bar and Grill.

Fulton police responded around 12:15 a.m., and saw Deron C. Williams sitting outside of the business.

According to a press release, Williams had an active warrant in Callaway County for a traffic offense.

When officers told Williams he had a warrant for his arrest, Williams fled on foot. Officers were able to catch him and take him into custody.

Officers found a firearm and marijuana when they searched Williams.

He was transported to the Callaway County Jail and is being held without bond.

Williams is now facing charges of resisting arrest for a felony, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession of 10 grams or less of marijuana.
