One arrested in Columbia homicide investigation
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Columbia police confirm they have arrested one man for his alleged role in a homicide that happened in the 2700 block of Quail Drive.
Robert Junior Johnson, 49, was arrested and charged for first degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon.
Columbia police were called to the 2700 block of Quail drive on May 25th for multiple report of shots fired. When they arrived, officers found evidence of a shooting.
Rod Jamal Jones, 36, had life-threatening injuries and was taken off life support on May 27th.
During the investigation, officers learned that Johnson was an accomplice to the shooting. Columbia police say Bobby Dawson, 38, was the primary shooter. Police are still looking for Dawson.
Dawson is wanted for first degree murder and armed criminal action. Police say if you see Dawson, do not approach him as he is know to be armed and dangerous.
