9 injured after two tractor-trailers crash near Moberly

Nine people were injured after two tractor-trailers crashed near Moberly Thursday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 11 p.m. on Highway 24.

Troopers say one truck, driven by Oscar Osorio, 51, of Harlingen, Texas, rear-ended another truck.

Osorio’s truck was able to come to a stop, but the second truck ended up in a ditch. That driver, Andrew Eitel, 53, of Hannibal, suffered only minor injuries.

Osorio had seven passengers in his tractor-trailer. Six suffered minor injuries and were transported to Moberly Regional Medical Center.

The seventh passenger, 41-year-old Cecilia Osorio, was taken to University Hospital in Columbia with moderate injuries.
