Fulton employee accused of inappropriate contact with student files second lawsuit

A Fulton man has filed his second lawsuit after being accused of inappropriately communicating with a student over Snapchat.

Brandon McDaniel has filed a lawsuit against the Children’s Division of the Missouri Department of Social Services. This comes after his first lawsuit against Fulton Public Schools.

In the first lawsuit, Superintendent Jacques Cowherd fired Brandon McDaniel from his long-term substitute teacher position on Feb. 13.

According to the official court documents, McDaniel is claiming that the Children’s Division “incorrectly stated that Petitioner [McDaniel] had communicated with students about sexual topics and had thereby violated the Fulton School District police regarding staff/student relations.”

McDaniel also stated that he has suffered “irreparable harm” because of the case.
