Woman seriously injured after crashing into Pettis County deputy’s vehicle
PETTIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Sedalia woman was seriously injured after crashing into the back of a Pettis County Sheriff's deputy's vehicle Monday morning on Highway 50.
According to Sheriff Brad Anders, a deputy was directing traffic for another wreck when a driver did not slow down and hit the deputy's vehicle.
Marie Williard, 41, was driving a 2009 Toyota when she crashed into the patrol vehicle, according to the crash report.
Sheriff Anders says the deputy realized the driver was not stopping and the deputy ran into the median to avoid being struck by the motorist.
Williard was flown to University Hospital for treatment.
Williard was wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.
