Columbia Health Department vaccine clinic at Columbia Mall set to begin Monday

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services has partnered with the Missouri National Guard and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to host a vaccine clinic at the Columbia Mall.

The clinic, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, will offer 1,000 vaccine appointments each day.

Vaccinations will be given across from Bath and Body Works and appointment times will begin at 8 a.m. and will run through 6 p.m. each night.

Appointments are being encouraged for the event, residents looking to make an appointment can do so on the state's vaccine navigator.

While appointments are encouraged to secure a dose, walk-ins are also being accepted on a first come, first served basis.

The clinic is using Pfizer's Coronavirus vaccine, making anyone 16 years or older eligible for the shot.

The vaccine is free and no health insurance is required.

Residents receiving their first dose at the clinic will return at the same time in three weeks to receive the second dose.
