Crews block off lane of I-70 for crash

Emergency crews closed a westbound lane on Interstate 70 in Columbia Tuesday morning after an SUV crashed into the median.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Emergency crews blocked off a lane of Interstate 70 West for a crash Tuesday morning.

The left lane of the interstate was closed just west of the Providence Road exit after an SUV hit the median.

An ABC 17 News crew said traffic was moving steadily in the right lane.

The MoDOT Traveler Information Map said I-70 was partly covered in snow and ice Tuesday morning. It's unclear if winter weather played a role in the wreck.

An MU Health Care ambulance responded to the scene. It's unclear if anyone was hurt.
