Man killed in Phelps County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 48-year-old Saint James man was killed during a crash in Phelps County at 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the man was driving a 2005 Ford F-150 west on Highway YY, one mile west of the Crawford County line, when he failed to navigate a curve.

The truck went off the right side of the road and overturned. The man was thrown from the truck.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.

The report states the man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
