Child suffers ‘minor injury’ in Fulton garage fire
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A child suffered minor injuries from burns in a residential fire Monday evening in Fulton, according to a press release from the Fulton Fire Department.
The fire occurred after 6 p.m. in the 1000 block of Cote Sans Dessein Road. Crews saw black smoke coming from the garage, the release says. The fire was under control within 15 minutes.
The child was treated at the scene by paramedics, the release says.
“The child was safely removed from harm's way by a family member and a citizen who was driving by and noticed the smoke and flames. Thankfully, there are no other injuries reported at this time,” the release says.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
