North Carolina man hurt in Interstate 70 crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A North Carolina man suffered serious injuries in a crash early Thursday on Interstate 70 in Callaway County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the 25-year-old man was driving eastbound at the 139.2-mile marker at about 1:45 a.m. His 2015 Honda Accord went off the right side of the road, rolled and hit two trees, the crash report says.

The man, from Swannanoa, N.C., was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol says.

He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital.
