Juvenile arrested in Ashland after allegedly making terrorist threat against school

ASHLAND, Mo. (KMIZ)

A juvenile was arrested for allegedly making a terrorist threat against a middle school, according to Ashland police.

According to a social media post from the Ashland Police Department, on Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. the department was made aware of a verbal threat from a SBS student. The threat was related to the Southern Boone Middle School, the post states.

After officers investigated, a juvenile was arrested for making a terrorist threat.

According to the post, the department is aware of rumors circulating on social media regarding a gun being brought to a football game. The post states that information is not accurate and there is "no known threat to the community or the schools."

The post states no additional information will be released due to the case involving a juvenile.
