Tracking rounds of rain and storm through the next several days

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and storms likely. Lows in the mid-50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with isolated to scattered showers and storms. Highs in the lower 70s.

EXTENDED: A stalled front will continue to bring the potential for showers and storms over the next two days. A few storms could bring small hail tonight, but the overall severe threat is low. A few isolated strong storms will be possible during the day tomorrow, with a better shot at widespread rain toward late evening as the front progresses east. As it lifts north during the day on Thursday, the main wave of storms exits east, leaving us to return to the 70s by afternoon. We'll be squarely in the warm sector with the front back to our north on Friday, allowing highs to reach near 80 degrees. Storms develop along a cold front moving in from the west on Friday afternoon and evening, and those will carry a low-end severe threat as instability increases along with wind shear. Rain totals between tonight and Saturday morning will range from 1-3" with isolated instances of 4". The weekend will be cooler as rain exits on Saturday as highs reach the upper 50s, and mid-50s for Easter Sunday with more sunshine.
