Tracking a few showers tomorrow, warm and sunny weekend

TONIGHT: Gradual clearing with light winds. Patchy to widespread fog developing late. Lows near 60.

TOMORROW: Partly cloudy with a chance for a few showers or storms, especially along I-44. Highs in the upper 70s.

EXTENDED: With light winds and higher humidity following the rain, we can expect fog to develop overnight into the morning. Tomorrow will be partly cloudy and a bit warmer with highs in the upper 70s. We have lowered rain chances as the low pressure center we're watching will track farther south. Once that clears the region, we'll be sunny on Saturday with highs getting into the lower 80s. Sunday will be even warmer as we'll see winds picking up from the southwest, pushing temperatures into the mid-upper 80s. A weak front may bring a few showers or storms late Sunday night into Monday morning, but we'll still manage the 80s on Monday. Tuesday is the day we are targeting for the potential of strong storms. Some of the ingredients are coming together, and if the cold front passage lines up with that we could end up with severe weather in the vicinity. We'll have some dry time mid-week, but could potentially see some more active weather to end next week.
