Tracking the return of some warm weather

warming up
KMIZ

THURSDAY: Our warm weather is on the way back in this afternoon. Winds out of the south will gust at times up to 25 mph, pushing temperatures into the low 60’s.

TONIGHT: We’ll be under mostly cloudy skies overnight. That will keep the mild weather around overnight, with lows only bottoming out in the middle 40’s.

EXTENDED: We can do something with that warm start tomorrow, pushing temperatures even further but the afternoon. Record highs will be in jeopardy, with afternoon temperatures in the upper 60’s. That breeze will stick around with the warm weather, with gusts up to 30 mph. A few stray sprinkles look possible overnight Friday but will have next to no impact. We hang on to the warm weather on Christmas, with highs around 60 spilling over into Sunday as well. Another chance for some showers will move through Sunday night, which may help shave a few degrees off highs into next week. We’re tracking another system bringing rain chances Monday night into Tuesday as highs reach the upper 50’s. We’ll fall into the 40’s by Wednesday behind this one.
