Tracking potential for strong to severe storms by this evening
TONIGHT: Our strong frontal system will start to move through this evening. As it does, we’ll be tracking the potential for a few rogue storms to fire just ahead of it in the 7-10 PM timeframe. Anything that gets up and going then will need to be monitored for damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes. As the front moves through, winds will pick up, gusting to 35 mph, as temperatures fall into the low 30’s by sunrise.
TOMORROW: Cold air settles in by Saturday morning. Temperatures start in the 30's and only climb into the mid-40's by the afternoon. More sunshine will return behind this system as well. Skies stay mostly clear into the evening.
EXTENDED: The bright skies stick around to close out the weekend as we start another warming trend, pushing into the middle 50’s. Temperatures will top out in the low 60’s on Monday and step up into the upper 60’s to low 70’s Tuesday and Wednesday. Our next shot at rain moves in later in the day Wednesday as a frontal boundary pushes in and could give us a few shots at rain to end the week.
