Tracking some warmer weather to close out the week

60s
KMIZ

THURSDAY: The warming trend we started yesterday is going to step it up today. Winds out of the south along with sunshine returning pretty quickly this morning will help spring temperatures into the low 60’s this afternoon.

TONIGHT: The wind will back off tonight as lows settle down near 40 degrees under partly cloudy skies.

EXTENDED: We’re in for some fun tomorrow with a powerful storm system taking shape overhead. Temperatures will make a run into the 60’s once again with a few spots threatening some records by the afternoon. A few passing showers will be possible during the afternoon but should move on by the evening. Winds will kick up and push in the colder weather shortly after the rain departs. Temperatures will fall from the 50’s and 60’s into the 30’s in a span of 2-3 hours. Highs on Saturday will be knocked all the way back into the upper 40’s, but we’ll start to climb the hill again getting into next week. We’ll go from the 50’s on Sunday,  to the low 60’s by Monday, and top out in the upper 60’s and low 70’s Tuesday and Wednesday.
