Tracking a rainy start today

TODAY: We'll see showers early today before rain chances become more scattered in the afternoon. A bit of sunshine is possible by the late afternoon today. Highs reach the low 80s.

TOMORROW: Skies stay clearer with a few clouds and highs reach the mid-80s.

EXTENDED: Next week starts off largely dry on Monday, but the upper pattern is going to shift quite a bit by the middle of the week. High pressure begins to flatten out and slide southeast, and we'll be tracking a cold front that moves in by Tuesday-Wednesday, and then lifts back north by the end of the week. This wavering front coupled with warm and humid conditions will trigger rounds of showers and thunderstorms from Tuesday on. Rainfall amounts right now look to be in the 1" range for 7 day totals, but depending where that front sets up we could end up with more. Highs next week get into the lower 80s with lows in the 60s.
