Tracking a few showers Saturday, more sunshine this weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with one round of rain diminishing early. Scattered showers possible by dawn. Lows in the mid-60s.

TOMORROW: Scattered showers early, followed by late day sunshine. Highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

EXTENDED: Highs will reach around 80 tomorrow, and get into the mid-upper 80s on Sunday with clearer skies overhead. Next week starts off largely dry on Monday, but the upper pattern is going to shift quite a bit by the middle of the week. High pressure begins to flatten out and slide southeast, and we'll be tracking a cold front that moves in by Tuesday-Wednesday, and then lifts back north by the end of the week. This wavering front coupled with warm and humid conditions will trigger rounds of showers and thunderstorms from Tuesday on. Rainfall amounts right now look to be in the 1" range for 7 day totals, but depending where that front sets up we could end up with more. Highs next week get into the lower 80s with lows in the 60s.
