Tracking more hit-and-miss rain chances
WEDNESDAY: The mild weather is here to stay, along with the threat for rain. A few isolated showers will be possible, especially west of HWY 63 this afternoon. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 70’s.
TONIGHT: The threat for some showers will stick around overnight. The favored area looks to be west of HWY 63 still, with lows falling into the middle 60’s.
EXTENDED: Showers will be off and on throughout the day on Thursday. Rainfall amounts look fairly tame, between about 0.25”-0.50” for most of us, but could approach 1” in some of our western counties. Rain chances don’t completely leave the area Friday but will be tougher to come by. High pressure will build into the area from the east, sliding disturbances up and around the area. The best chance to get a shower Friday-Monday looks to be in our western counties. Temperatures will start to climb with the approach of the high and drier conditions, into the mid to upper 80’s this weekend. With the humid conditions sticking around, it’ll feel a little shocking to the system. Remember to stay hydrated this weekend! That high looks to start breaking down around Tuesday, ushering in the return of meaningful rain chances with a cold front.
