Tracking cloud cover and cool temperatures Tuesday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and chilly. Lows in the mid-40s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and cool with a chance for spotty showers in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 50s to around 60.

EXTENDED: High pressure sitting over the Great Lakes is keeping us anywhere from 10-15 degrees cooler than normal and we won't break back into the 70s until this weekend. The entire week is dry, with rain chances returning to Mid-MO by Friday night as a warm front lifts north into the region. That will bring us back into the low 70s for Saturday, but the front stalls and gives us repeated chances for rain and storms through the weekend and potentially into Monday. Severe weather chances look low right now but we'll monitor as the week evolves. Rain amounts over the weekend will add up to 0.5" to 1". The upper pattern shifts next week to give us a more southwesterly flow, meaning we'll be warmer but could also have more disturbances move our way.
