Tracking near record warmth this week before a cool down this weekend

TODAY: Skies will see increasing cloud cover Tuesday. A few showers are possible but most will stay dry today. Clouds, and a slight north breeze knock our temperatures down a notch. Highs this afternoon are stuck in the mid-50s, still warmer than average.

TONIGHT: Temperatures will stay warm tonight. We're in the low 40s under cloud cover early Wednesday morning.

EXTENDED: We bounce back to the low 60s on Wednesday, with the rest of the work week in the 60's. Our warmest day looks to come Thursday as southerly flow and sunshine get us into the upper 60's and low 70's. We may be close to record (72 degrees) territory on Thursday. A return to more seasonable temperatures is in the forecast this weekend. Shower chances and highs near 50 return for both Saturday and Sunday.
