Tracking isolated storms, warm and dry weekend ahead
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with an isolated shower possible early. Lows in the mid-60s with breezy south winds up to 20 mph.
TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with a few isolated storms possible, mainly west of Highway 63. Highs in the upper 70s to around 80.
EXTENDED: The overall trend over the next couple of days will be mainly dry as high pressure pushes back west, but we can't rule out a few of these storms reaching areas west of Highway 63. That said, most areas stay dry. Friday looks very similar with hit and miss storms possible in the afternoon, mainly for our western half. Saturday through Monday are looking largely dry with that big area of high pressure over us, but we'll also be warmer with highs in the mid-80s. We'll complete the summer time feel with the humidity hanging around. The upper level ridge will begin to break down early next week as it moves east, and we'll likely see another cold front moving in late Monday into Tuesday that could bring temperatures down a bit and rain chances back to the area. River flooding is diminishing with crests happening today, and levels dropping significantly over the next few days.
