Tracking daily rain chances, big warm up this week
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a spot shower or storm. Lows in the low 60s.
TOMORROW: Partly cloudy with scattered showers and storms. A few storms may be strong with isolated large hail and heavy rain. Highs in the upper 70s.
EXTENDED: Rain and/or storms will be isolated from Wednesday on, so the overall flooding risk to roads will be low. Despite seeing rises on rivers by the end of the week, most areas stay below action stage and impacts will be very minimal. Additional rainfall through the end of the week adds up to 1-2", but if we get a few strong storms tomorrow there may be locally higher totals in a few spots. We will be stuck in a very amplified upper level pattern that is responsible for sending disturbances our way each day, but that also spells much warmer temperatures by the end of the week, especially as we get right under high pressure by the weekend. Rain chances are lower for the weekend but temperatures are expected to reach the low to mid-80s, potentially getting into the mid-upper 80s by early next week. This pattern looks to hold into at least the middle of next week, so we can expect warmer than average temperatures to continue.
