Tracking cooler temperatures and brief showers Tuesday

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and breezy with gusts up to 25 mph. Lows in the upper 40s to around 50.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and breezy with gradually increasing clouds. Spotty showers by late afternoon into the evening. Highs in the low 60s.

EXTENDED: A cold front moves through the area Tuesday afternoon and evening, bringing a chance for light rain and much cooler temperatures Wednesday. Most areas drop into the low to mid-30s on Wednesday morning with highs in the upper 40s to around 50 during the day. Despite the cool temperatures, we can expect sunshine for much of the day followed by widespread frost on Thursday morning as temperatures dip below freezing for most of Mid-Missouri. We rebound into the low 60s by the end of the week with sunshine expected into the weekend. We get close to 70 by Saturday, with sunshine and low 70s for Easter Sunday.
