Dry and warmer for Saturday, Increasing storm chances Sunday

TONIGHT: Those clouds continue to filter out of the area overnight leading to another chilly night. Lows will fall to near the freezing mark so any of those sensitive plants probably need to come in again or be covered.

SATURDAY: After a cold night, we're expecting a nice warming trend through the afternoon. Mostly sunny skies will push temperatures into the upper 50s and low 60s area wide. Clouds are expected to increase Saturday evening as our next chance of rain moves in.

EXTENDED: Moist air is expected to funnel into mid-Missouri Sunday morning, bringing a chance at spotty rain and a rumble of thunder through sunrise. We'll get a brief break around lunchtime, but a second wave of storms is possible into the afternoon hours. New data continues to indicate that some of these storms could contain a strong wind gust or hail. That threat will be monitored closely. Normal, spring-like temperatures look to continue into next week!
