Police investigating home invasion in south Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police are investigating a home invasion after responding to a reported burglary Tuesday night on the 1400 block of Grindstone Plaza Drive.

The victim told police that she had opened the door to her residence believing a friend had arrived, but instead two males she did not recognize forced their way into her apartment.

The victim says she barricaded herself in a bedroom and called 911 as the males proceeded to cause damage to objects within the apartment.

Police report nothing was stolen from the apartment.
