Mizzou swept by Florida, falls to 17-10 this season

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

No. 20 Florida spoiled Mizzou's home finale on Friday at the Hearnes Center, sweeping the Tigers in three sets on their senior night. Dawn Sullivan's team now holds a 17-10 overall record this season and is 9-7 in SEC play with two matches left.

Florida won the match 3-0 after winning all three sets by scores of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-20 respectively.

Mizzou honored Dilara Gedikoglu and Lauren Forbes after Friday's match. Gedikoglu put together a solid performance on senior night, recording nine kills and adding three blocks. Forbes recorded two service aces in the contest.

Janet deMarrais finished the night with a team-high 10 kills and two aces. Jordan Iliff added nine kills of her own.

Up next - Mizzou closes out the regular season with a two-game road trip. The Tigers' next match is on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 12:30 p.m. against No. 12 Kentucky.
