OFFICIAL: Mizzou signs consensus top-50 transfer Jacob Crews

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou Men's Basketball has signed one of the transfer portal's top three-point shooters. Jacob Crews is officially transferring from UT Martin to the Tigers for the 2024-25 season.

Crews is joining Dennis Gates and company after ranking No. 22 in the nation in three-point percentage during the 2023-24 season. The 6-foot-8 wing hit 41.4% of his triples last season and was ranked No. 51 in the country with 19.1 points per game and No. 76 in the nation with 8.2 rebounds per game. He also earned first-team NABC All-District, first-team All-OVC and OVC All-Newcomer Team honors for that impressive season. Crews scored at least 20 points in 16 games last season and posted nine double-double performances.

“Jacob has great size for his position with an elite combination of shooting, toughness and rebounding,” Dennis Gates said in a press release. “He has an outstanding mindset and is somebody who is looking forward to the challenge of playing in the nation’s top conference. He attracted a lot of interest from several power-conference schools, but we were able to form a great connection with him and his family and know that he will be a perfect fit and teammate within our program.”

Crews will look to help Mizzou Men's Basketball bounce back after the program's first winless conference season in more than a century when the 2024-25 season tips off.
