RECAP: Harrison Mevis drills game-winning field goal; Mizzou tops Florida on senior night

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

For the second time this season, Mizzou's Harrison Mevis hit a field goal in the final seconds to seal a win for the No. 9 ranked Tigers. Mevis was one of 27 seniors who were honored before Saturday's game.

Mizzou escaped Faurot Field with a win over Florida after trailing 31-30 with under two minutes left in the fourth quarter. Brady Cook and the Tiger offense converted a fourth-and-17 and proceeded to march down the field, setting up Mevis for a game-winning 30-yard kick on senior night.

"I just wanted to win for this team," Mevis said after the victory. "I'm blessed to be a part of this win. It just means everything."

The Tigers have now won nine games this season for the first time since 2014 and have one more regular season matchup remaining on their schedule. Mizzou plays Arkansas on Friday, Nov. 24 in Fayetteville.
