Flyers interim GM Briere believes franchise needs a rebuild

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Philadelphia Flyers interim general manager Danny Briere believes the team needs a rebuilding process to become contenders for a Stanley Cup. The Flyers are having one of the worst seasons in franchise history. They are on track to miss the playoffs for the third straight season. The Flyers fired general manager Chuck Fletcher last week and replaced him with Briere. Briere is a former Flyers great who says he knows what it takes to win in Philadelphia.
