Mizzou guard Anthony Robinson set to enter transfer portal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou men's basketball's most veteran guard will hit the transfer portal.

On Monday, guard Anthony Robinson announced on his Instagram that he will be hitting the portal after three seasons in Columbia. The news was first reported by On3.

The news comes after the Florida native faced a 2025-26 season filled with ups and downs. Robinson started his junior campaign averaging 11.5 points per game, but faced a bit of a drop off once Southeastern Conference play got going. After having a 19-point night in Mizzou's upset over Florida, the point guard went on to average 6.4 points per game over the next 14 outings.

He ended his time in Columbia with one his best outings of the season in MU's NCAA Tournament First Round loss to Miami. The junior didn't lead the team in scoring, but his 11 points came in some of the most critical moments of the game.

Head coach Dennis Gates and company will undoubtedly miss Robinson's defensive prowess, next season. In his sophomore season, he was named to the SEC All-Defensive Team as just the second Tiger in school history to earn that accolade. That season was just one year removed after he started in zero games in his freshman season.

Mizzou will lose the experience that Robinson brings in the face of losing five out of its top nine contributors to graduation, after the 2025-26 season. On the flip side, Tiger forward Trent Pierce did announce that he will return for his fourth season.
