Mizzou volleyball gets swept by Georgia in regular season finale

ATHENS, Ga. (KMIIZ)

The Mizzou volleyball team ended the regular season with a 3-0 loss to Georgia, on the road in Athens, on Saturday. However, under first-year head coach Dawn Sullivan, the Tigers more than quadrupled its conference win total, going 9-9 in SEC action and 17-12, overall, in 2023.

MU's season may not be done yet, though. The team will wait to hear if it made the cut for the NCAA Tournament in Sunday's selection show on ESPNU.

The last time Mizzou made it to the NCAA Tournament was in 2020. The Tigers were knocked out in the second round in that season. The majority of the Tigers' all-time appearances in the tournament were under legendary MU coaches Wayne and Susan Kreklow.

The selection show will begin at 5 p.m. on ESPNU.
