Mizzou volleyball battles back to beat Georgia in five sets

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou volleyball team battled for a 3-2, gritty win over Georgia on Sunday afternoon, at the Hearnes Center. MU lost the first set, but went on to trade blows with the Bulldogs for a five-set victory.

With the win, the Tigers improved to 15-9 overall and 7-6 in conference action.

St. Louis-native Jordan Iliff dominated in the win. She finished with a team-high 22 kills, hitting .289. Janet DeMarrais was behind her in kills, with 12 in the match.

Up next - head coach DawnSullivan and company will continue the final home stand of the season with a game against Texas A&M on Friday, Nov. 10. First serve is at 6 p.m.
